Alex Jeffreys’ Coaching Course Is Open

If you are looking for a mentor, somone to guide you through the maze of the internet marketing and list building gauntlet, then look no further. Go to Alex Jeffreys Coaching and decide for yourself if Alex is the right mentor for you.

I went through his first list building coaching course and can tell you that I took more action than with anything else I’ve done online. There’s a reason why so many people fail to reach their goals online and he makes it very clear how to avoid the pitfalls most people will get caught up in.

Alex Jeffreys: The Nightmare

Alex Jeffreys has created a buzz with a video he put together about a new report. He’s promised to write about the #1 thing that hold us back from making money online.

Aside from the content of his video, I learned three very important lessons that I’ve included in this short little video.

1. Start off with an eyeball-grabbing, gotta-find-out-what-he’s-talking-about subject line.

2. Create curiosity in the first paragraph or 30 seconds of your message.

3. Use a call to action. Give them something to do, site to visit, or action to take.

Watch this little video and let me know what you learned from Alex’s video.

You finally realize that you need a good opt-in list. After reading countless articles and sought expert advices from seo services and have read many success stories of people creating a small fortune with opt-in lists you finally decide to have one of your own. Then it happens, you assume you are an expert with opt-in lists and have followed the advice carefully but you still end up not getting a profit.

In fact, you may be losing money. You maybe hiring writers to help you out, or there are some expenses incurred, even if you have a big list, but only a very small percentage actually buys from you, your still losing profit. You’ll realize that after a few months when you see your statistic, sales figures, and web traffic reports.

So what could have gone wrong? Why have others succeeded where you have failed? The most common mistake is that you dived straight right in. You chose a topic, let’s say website design, where you think could be quite popular and would earn you money.. This just not the case. Just because you wrote people from the list doesn’t mean they are going to buy instantly.

Here I will offer more advice, for those who have started an opt-in list and have failed, there is still hope for your failed venture. For those who are starting, here are three quick and easy ways to build a profitable opt-in list.

1) Get your customers to trust you and your products first. Just launching your opt-in list would not make you an expert and a believable seller.. Put many articles first before you start an opt-in list. Write about the topic you know and have started and used for your site. Try using the forums first to gain knowledge about your customers about their wants and needs and target those wants and needs.

Join forums from other sites as well. Provide expert advices and recommendations.. When you feel that people trust you already, you will be able to start your own opt-in list. You can build a base as well with other forum users. You can ask them to join your list.. Friends are always good customers. Put up a link to your site so that they may be able to see what you’re business is all about.

The certain truth is, the money will only come in when the consumers and subscribers believe and trust in you. They definitely want quality service or a good product in exchange for their hard earned money. People are not going to buy something out of your recommendation if they don’t know you.

2) Find a product or service that people want and need. Although it may not be your forte, if you provide a service and product that you have researched and learned about well, you can carry it on forward.. Invest your time, effort and money that you could sell as well as the buyers or subscribers of your opt-in list can use.

It is true that its best to sell a products that you have interest in but there are not many people who have the same interest that you have, then you end up selling a product or service which is not popular at all. Do your research well and you would see the profits come in. Also provide your subscribers with promotional material that they could actually use and spread around.

3) Make friends with other opt-in list users. Ths is a very good strategy, if someone has already launched a successful opt-in list. These are people that have the experience in this venture and experience is still the best teacher. While there are many articles available for you in the internet to use, there is nothing like getting a first hand account from someone you trust..

Experienced opt-in list users will be able to tell you what to do and what not to do because they have gone through it. While different situations occur for different people, the general concept can still be very helpful.. There are many things to avoid and these people will be able to tell you which ones.

Building a profitable opt-in list don’t just happen overnight. There are many preparations and effort to do. Opt-in lists are built from scratch, as your list grows, you also need to maintain the quality of your list. Keep it organized and manageable. Get or hire help if need be, just make sure your customers and subscribers are happy and they will be willing to buy from you.

I believe that list building is the most important strategy you can follow if you’re into Internet Marketing.

The reason is fairly simple; when you have a visitor to your web-site, you have just one opportunity for that visitor to take a desired action (i.e. bookmark, opt in, sign up, recommend, inquire, purchase etc.). However, if that same visitor signs-up to your list, then you have a lot of opportunities to encourage that visitor to take desired action, for example, referring your site to others thus encouraging massive web traffic.

For example, when visitors sign up for my 366 FREE Internet Marketing Tips AND Secrets I have 366 chances to build trust, my reputation and all good things like that. I also have 366 chances to get that person to do what I want them to (because I send them a tip or secret every single day). Now, they may not do what I want them to do. They might not recommend my site maybe because of other matters like website webpage design and anything else. They may just take the tips and ‘run’. That’s fine too. Because I know that SOME of the people on the list will do what I want them to. It’s just human nature.. It’s called reciprocity. It’s what most religions are based on. Do unto others as you want done to yourself, so that’s number one on my list:

1. Give away a LOT. You will get it back (in one shape or form).

2. Add multiple opt-in forms to all your web pages, give people plenty of opportunity to sign up.  I make no apology for the fly in you get when you enter, nor the exit pop up either. I want you to sign up!!

3. Give away a valuable gift. In my case, I give away over 100 free gifts, worth nearly $3,000!!

4. Make your content relevant and keep your subscribers happy. Go over the top. Like I say, give away a LOT.

5. Try using drop-down boxes and pop-ups. It’s a fine line and I know I go over the top, but pop up, drop down, fly in, test them out and see which works best.

6. Use squeeze pages. In other words, a page where the visitor has little option other than to sign up. Of course, you need them to WANT to sign up, that’s where the ’squeeze’ comes in..

7. Publish articles and submit them everywhere. Point your author resource box at your squeeze page. More on Article Marketing here

8. Write a review page, publish that on other blogs, again, leading to your squeeze page.

9. Record audios and publish podcasts.

10. Use forum postings

11. Use a good tell a friend script

12. Start your own forum.

13. Invest in Pay Per Click advertising such as Adwords or Yahoo

14. Write testimonials for other people to gain publicity.

15. Publish a viral e-book with links to your squeeze page embedded.

16. Swap ads with other publishers. This can be as simple as ‘you show mine, I’ll show yours’ all the way through to a genuine joint venture.

17. Sponsor a contest to create buzz.

18. Create a membership site only for subscribers

19. Create another opt-in form on someone’s thank you page

20. Publish a Press Release

21. Purchase ezine solo ads or classified ads in ezines.

22. Sumbit to ezine directories.

23. It would also be best if you can create a giveaway application or plug-in.

24. Use Top Sponsors’ Ads in ezines

25. Give your business card away to everyone you meet.

26. Create your own Affiliate program for your own product

27. Add URL links to your email signatures.

28. Always check to see if your newsletter is kept away from the spam lists.

29. Create a 5 day e-course for new subscribers.

30. Purchase subscribers (going rate around 30c per subscriber)

31. Copy from the best. Sign up for newsletters. Carefully take note of the different tactics used, from the sign up (was it fly in, pop up, inline etc.?), what type of page was the landing page from the opt in form? After you confirmed your e-mail address? What incentive was used to encourage you to sign up? What was the content like? Copy the best ideas!! What did you like? What didn’t you like? I’m sure you get the idea…

32. Use List Hero.

33. Remember to use Automated List Builder.

There you go. 33 great tips and secrets to get your list building on it’s way.. If you would like to add a list building tip or secret not listed here, please comment below. Thanks, Allen.

Secrets of List Building

There are many ideas to get members to subscribe to your newsletter, thus increasing web traffic. Here are a few tips and ideas.

Use A Dynamic Email Signature – This is so simple, yet people forget to even do it or do it properly.. If you send out quite a few emails every day, this is a great method to pick up some new subscribers. .

All you need to do, is at the end of each email you send out, have a 4 line ad for your newsletter..

Despite your confidence with your site’s website design you will be surprised as to how many people will sign up in your newsletter.

Make Sure To Keep Your Newsletter Off Spam Lists – Here are some important and very useful tips to make sure you stay out of trouble when it comes to spamming.

- Mak e Sure Your Email Message is Compliant with the CAN-SPAM Law.

- Make sure your list is double opt-in

- Always keep detailed records of all subscribes and unsubscribes. IP addresses, when they subscribed when they unsubscribed.

- Don’t ever purchase bulk email lists or harvest emails from the Internet.

- If you use co-registration companies, make sure they can be trusted and they do not use shady methods of traffic gathering.

- If you have an Affiliate Program, make sure you include an “anti-spam” provision in your agreement.

Always avoid using spam trigger words like ” spam, free, special, guaranteed..etc ”

Don’t Buy Mass Email Lists – I was just reading a post on a well known marketing forum today and I managed to come across and read a post from one guy who said he had access to a list of 800,000 email addresses from people who were interested in making money.

He said his friend owned the list and was willing to let him use it for a mailing, but he said not to mention his name at all in the mailing..

This should have been the first alarm bell for this guy. Not to mention that this guy wasn’t sure how the list was compiled or how the people subscribed to this list.

It wasn’t even a decent mailing list, it was a bunch of lists stuck together.

If this guy does decide to mail to this list, he will be accused of spam, he will get into major trouble and he will NOT make any money worth the effort.

I would like to stress out to never EVER send emails out to lists you don’t know anything about EVER. And also, never buy bulk email lists.

Start Your Own Forum – According to seo services, this is a great way to get new subscribers to your newsletter, thus getting more traffic in your site. Building a community within your website brings back repeat visitors, which means people will more then likely sign up for your newsletter if they keep coming back.

You can check an example of this at Howtocorp and go look at the forum. He has his newsletter signup form there and product recommendations. A lot of people love helping other people and answer their questions, so after awhile you won’t need to be answering many questions yourself.

The only best way to start your own forum is to do it yourself with software and host it on your own webhosting.Don’t use a 3rd party service, especially free ones.

Alex Jeffreys and List Building; Synonymous?

In the last coaching module on getting traffic to your web site, Alex Jeffreys brought up a few points that I’d like to share with you.

But, first I wanted to let you know what’s been going on with me.

I got a little side tracked with some health issues and a few other obligations that required my attention. This kind of thing happens and I’m learning how to stay focused and get things done.

Pretty soon the name Alex Jeffreys and list building will be synonymous. Alex Jeffreys’ name will be the definition for list building on Wiki.

Module on Traffic

The winner of Alex’s contest for getting traffic was Jim Gallagher over at Kotobot. Jim has done an amazing job of outlining his traffic tactics and I’d suggest you hop over there and take a look to see how he got over 43,000 hits in a matter of a week or two.

Special points:

Don’t get it right, get it going

Know who you want to follow and who is following you

Traffic Tip #2: Google Alerts,

As part of my plan to get traffic to my blog, I subscribed to Google Alerts.

Are you using this tool? It’s quite effective for finding sites that you want to learn from, research, leave comments on, whatever your needs might be. Go to www.google.com/alerts and fill in the box where it says “Create a Google Alert”. Easy.

I have one of my google alerts set for once a day using list building as my key word phrase. This was going pretty well except that I was getting sites with the word list and the word building, but not necessarily list building in the way I was looking for.

I discovered (and you probably already knew about this) that if you put the word or words in parentheses your search will yield the sites you’re looking for.

Just as a side note, three of my class mates’ sites were listed on the first page of Google for the key word phrase “list building”. Congratulations!

Stay tuned (sign up for RSS feed) for more traffic tips.

If you found this helpful, please share.
