Best Resource Tip Contest Starting
Purpose:
Find the best resources
Help everyone get traffic to their sites
I’m hosting a contest for the most useful resource submitted. The contest starts on Wednesday, December 17th and coincides with Alex’s module on generating traffic. The prize will be two 350 word articles from Articlez.
You want more traffic to your site and we all love helpful resources, e.g. great plugin, helpful site, etc. Let’s combine the two and help each other out.
You’ll need to do four things:
1. Sign up for a free account with Articlez
2. Post a comment on your blog regarding this contest encouraging Alex Jeffreys’ students to stop by my blog and enter the contest
3. Submit a resource as a comment on this post (no duplicates, please)
4. Come back and vote for your favorite resource on Monday, Dec. 29th
5. Prize will be awarded to the person who submitted the resource with the most votes on Tuesday, Dec. 30th

Just an fyi … I started a Cool Tools page on my site where I gathered all the cool tools I was seeing from visiting the student’s sites and provided a “contributed by” link back to them.
Some students have sent me more, too. Was just trying to have one place where we all could come as my contribution to the group. Love the contest idea, though.

I’ve just found your comment on Austin’s blog about getting links from the blogroll to open in a new page.
I wondered how to do this and found the answer on Garry Parkes’ blog (I think!) yesterday, so I’ve been doing it with mine.
When you add the new link on your wordpress page Links >add new – scroll down to >advanced and open that up.
Click on blank and then the link will open in a new window.
