Video Marketing with Steven De Gracia

Blog of the Week This week’s featured blog is that of Steven De Gracia who is one of my classmates in the Alex Jeffreys coaching course. I chose Steven’s blog to tell you about because he is so generous with his time and expertise in video creation and marketing and I wanted you to benefit from his tutorials. His site is basically a tutorial library for learning how to produce video in Camtasia and Windows Movie Maker. When Steven recommends a product, he creates a video to show you it’s advantages and how to use the system. At Steven’s site you can learn:

  • how to get more traffic to your blog
  • how to encrypt and cloak affiliate links
  • make your own video tutorials
  • how to install the Twitter plugin for Wordpress

I interviewed Steven last night and the audio will be available soon. Steven shared a little about his background, how he got started in internet marketing, what his goals are and advice for people just starting out (it’s great advice for anyone). What he really wanted you to know is that he is available to help you if you’re struggling with video. He loves working with this medium and will create a tutorial about almost anything to help you learn what you need to know about making videos. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to visit Steven De Gracia and leave a comment for him. He’s got a heart of gold and wants to help you. Until next time, Theresa

Video Marketing and Blogging

I’m just getting ready to go into town for my weekly “day away from the office to run errands” time and wanted to let you know what’s been going on with me the last few days.

Creating Video With Camtasia

A couple of weeks ago I responded to a request from one of my Alex Jeffreys coaching classmates who wanted to have a video created for her. I had just gotten Camtasia and was excited about using this new toy/tool :) .

It’s pretty easy to figure out basic operations, but I really got stuck with things like learning how to use the timeline to lengthen a slide or insert an audio clip and then synchronize it with the video. I searched Youtube and Google and found several great tutorials, but none of them showed me exactly what I needed to know about my particular project.

The video is done and has been sent off to the “client” and now I’m going to get to work on creating a video tutorial of what I’ve learned (after I get back from my day out).

Blog of the Week

The Blog of the Week is coming up on Friday. This week I’m featuring one of my classmates who has been very helpful with answering questions about video. I’ll be doing an interview with Steven De Gracia very soon and will post the audio to my blog.

Keeping you posted,
Theresa

Making Money Online

Are you making money online yet?

This is the reason we’re all doing this, right?

I’ve been racking my brain for ideas to help you (and myself) to start seeing some action in the old Paypal account.

Why not do what the successful online marketers do?

Of course, that’s what we’ve been learning the past couple of months with Alex Jeffreys’ coaching course. In Alex’s last coaching module, he went over what we had been taught; kind of an overview. So, if we weren’t making money yet, we’d have a good idea why not. Go back to the
beginning, he said and do the things that you were taught, but didn’t follow through with.

Do one thing well.

I read something this morning that struck a chord with me. “Do one thing really well, then move on to the next.” This little phrase will be my motto and affirmation.

Blog of the Week

Each week I’ll feature a Blog of the Week to help you find the information that will help you with your online money making endeavors.

This week’s blog is for people who are interested in learning more about affiliate marketing.

Jennifer “Potpie Girl” Ledbetter has been a Professional Internet Marketer and Certified SEO for two years. She is a member of Wealthy Affiliate and has written a book called One Week Marketing. It’s an action plan that tells you exactly what to do each of the seven days to get a site up and getting traffic.

If you’re looking for a free resource to help you navigate the world of affiliate marketing you’re in for a treat with Potpie Girl’s blog.

See you next time,
Theresa

Where To Find A Great Giveaway Site

Hey there, I’ve missed a couple of days of working on my site and other activities related to my online business. I have a satellite dish for internet connection and was fapped for using too much band width.

It’s part of the price we pay for not living in the city where we used to have cable. I took that speedy connection for granted, I’m sure. When we moved out to the country we had dial up for about four days! Anyway, I’m digressing from my topic.

Adrian asked me the other day where to find a good giveway site. I’ve joined a couple and I’ll tell you what they are in a minute.

Let’s talk about why you want to join a giveaway site in the first place.

Alex covered this subject in the second or third module and I have to confess that I didn’t jump right in and do this step. But, I am now and I know the people who did this are building their lists because of it.

Submitting a free product whether it’s an ebook or a software program that makes life a little easier for someone is a great way to build your list. The reader must opt in to your list in order to receive the free gift. You have given away something of perceived value.  If you have an upsell product item attached to the download page  you might even make a sale, to boot.

So, what do you give away?

1.  You can create your own ebook; this is the best option, in my opinion.

2.  You can give away PLR material that you’ve rebranded. If you choose this option, you’ll want to make sure that you do some re-writing to make it different from all the other copies of it out there.

3. If you’re a student of Alex Jeffreys you can give away the free book that you rebranded from him.

Study some copy writing techniques to pump up your descriptions that make your product stand out from the crowd.

Here are a couple of suggestions for giveaway sites:

How Big Is Your Dream?

Do you know what your dream is?

I have been thinking about things like what inspires me, what I want from my business, what I’ll do with the money I make. I have my list, that’s for sure.

This morning I did a search on Youtube for the most watched videos and this came up. Remember Paul Potts on Britain’s Got Talent back in June of 2007? He was the cell phone salesman from Cardiff, Wales whose dream was to sing opera. He won the competition and has gone on to record a CD. He’s fast becoming the star he only dreamed about.

My point in writing about this is that we all have dreams. Maybe they’re not on the scale of Paul’s, but that should not keep us from going after them. I think one of the reasons  the video of Paul’s performance on the talent show has had over 40 million views (besides his stunning voice) is that we all love to see people succeed and achieve their goals and dreams.

Watch the video. It may inspire you to go after your dreams.

Video Cash Explosion: Blast Traffic To Your Site

Video Cash Explosion is the brainchild of Shannon Lueck, the young protege of Michael Cheney. She was one of Michael’s case studies a couple of months ago and in fact, Shannon says she has earned over $20,000 in the last five months since going through Michael’s course.

The  software program takes you click by click through a simple process to create a single page web site with video to promote any product.  Shannon includes video tutorials and scripts along with instructions on how to get traffic to your Video Cash Explosion site.

One of the best parts of this little software program is the keyword research tool that’s built in. It not only tells you how many people are searching for your keyword, but how many websites have that keyword so that you can sort the information and select a key word that has a high search volume and a low number of web sites.

Here’s an example of the first site I’ve already created with it. I decided to do one that invites people to opt in to my list to receive a free report rather than sell something.

If affiliate marketing is something you’re interested in learning about or you are already doing, check out this program. It will take hours off your (already packed) schedule.

Writing Is The Doing Part Of Thinking

Before I get into the topic of this post, I want to share with you how things have been going for me.

I wrote my last plan a week ago after re-evaluating the previous plan. Well, I didn’t get as much done as I had hoped, but I will continue with it for another week to give it a fair chance.

This brings me to another subject that Alex covered in yesterday’s coaching class, which is “Fail Forward Fast”. He suggested that we look back at what we’ve been doing and decide if it’s working for us. “Have you been keeping a daily journal of your activities?”, he asked.

Another thing he mentioned (stressed is more accurate) is to create your own product, which brings me to the subject of this post.

I got the title from an email I received this morning reminding me of a teleconference call I signed up for featuring Glenn Dietzel and Alex Jeffreys.

Two things in that email alerted me to become hyper-aware that this is something that will profoundly change me:

Writing is the doing part of thinking.

Come ready to take massive, focused outcome driven action.

In a nutshell, that was the message that I received from Alex’s class yesterday.

Alex also shared some great stories about his experiences while away on vacation. He took his family to Disney World in Orlando and when they were walking from their car in the parking lot, he ran into another internet marketer friend who had parked just a few cars away. What are the chances that he’d meet someone he knew? They went on to spend the day together and brainstorm business ideas and just had tons of fun.

The point for me was “facts tell, stories sell“. Alex conveyed several messages/lessons through the stories that he told us of his experiences while on vacation.

So, I got up this morning with a renewed sense of enthusiasm, excitement, commitment, and drive to succeed in my business. One of the things I knew I have to do is create my own product . . . write my own ebook. It’s not scary or anything like that. It’s a matter of compiling my notes and putting it into order.

I know I have a lot to offer and I do want to share it with you. I even got an email from one of my classmates who is a graphic designer. He is giving away 5 free ebook covers to help him gain experience.

So, now I gotta go so I can get started on my book.
